Seiji Iwaki's Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV RS (CN9A), known as the Lan Evo, or as the Evo IV, is the signature vehicle of Emperor member Seiji Iwaki.
With such performance, the car was extremely popular from the launch. And although the Evo IV was treated as a limited production model like the previous models, the car ended up selling 13,134 units in total.

Only 8,201 Evo IX were ever made. Of those, 4,147 were base models, 3,667 were MRs, and 358 were RSs.
Kyoichi Sudō, the Emperor's team leader tries to knock some sense into Seiji at the beginning of the competition. Given that Kyoichi is the first racer to defeat Takumi in the Second Stage, his beating Takumi at every level at the behest of his Evo IV is a thrill to watch.

Mika Uehara (上原 美佳 Uehara Mika) is Takumi Fujiwara's love interest during the Kanagawa Expedition Arc. She is also an experienced golfer, and aspires to become a professional.
Natsuki Mogi (茂木 なつき Mogi Natsuki, known as Natalie in the Tokyopop version) is Takumi Fujiwara's love interest during the Akina's Eight-Six Arc.
With help from Koichiro Iketani and Yuichi Tachibana (who gets the new instrument board from Suzuki), Takumi is able to install the new tachometer and faces Wataru in a battle on Shomaru pass, where he quickly adjusts to his new engine.
The crash forces him to retire from competitive racing and go into rehabilitation until no one really knows about what happened about Takumi. Despite this, he still remained close to the sport. After his recovery, he became an instructor at Royal Donington Racing School (RDRS), where he trained Kanata and Emma Green.
According to Takumi, his mom left them when he was very young. It didn't get into the detail at all, though. We don't know if she passed away or left Bunta (divorce) Even the manga did not talk about it. So it's one of those mysteries that might never get resolved.
One factor in his nearly unparalleled driving skill is his ability to visualize the road in his head, thus making up for the lack of visibility no matter how dark the mountain pass may be. This ability only takes effect if he has driven on the road before, which was not the case in some later races.

This generation of the Lancer Evolution was the most significant one since the Evo IV and offered essential technical upgrades on the all-wheel drive system. Mitsubishi had high hopes for the Evo VII.

EVO IV-IX and EVO X +PLUS sequential gear kit 6 speed can handle engine torque of 900Nm. The Mitsubishi EVO +PLUS gearbox is well known as it has been produced for many years and is extremely successful gearbox in all racing disciplines as rally, rallycross, hill climb, time attack and others.

Takumi Fujiwara's Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX (AE86) (originally owned by Bunta Fujiwara), also known as The White Ghost of Akina, the Panda Trueno, or more simply as the Eight-Six (Hachi-Roku), is one of the main vehicles in the Initial D series.
